Lancôme Introduces ‘Forbidden Rose’ Eau de Parfum

Blends the timeless elegance around the rose grown at the Lancôme Domaine de la Rose in the south of France with a divine, savory fruit.

A year following Lancôme’s unveiling of its new Haute-Parfumerie Collection, Absolue les Parfums, the brand is coming up roses with a new scent: Absolue Forbidden Rose.

Like the first 11 fragrances within the collection, all the scents are shaped around the rose grown at the Lancôme Domaine de la Rose in the south of France. Each fragrance evokes an unexpected encounter between the rose and the Domaine’s powerful natural elements.

Perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin describes it as a creation bottling up the fleshy and generousness of a fresh rose with a savory fig as the “daring association.”

“With its green nuances and milky sweetness, fig amplifies the fruity radiance of rose,” said Pellegrin, calling the floral-fruity obsession a vibrant “ode” to the rose’s rebellious spirit and a bold step beyond tradition.

Lancôme Absolue Forbidden Rose Eau de Parfum retails for $270 at lancome.com.
